1. Who We Are

ImportReady ("we", "us", "our") is a browser-based CSV validation tool for Shopify merchants. For privacy-related questions, contact us at hello@importready.app.

2. What Data We Collect

CSV file data — none. All file processing happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your CSV files are read directly into browser memory, analyzed, and (if applicable) modified. No file content is ever transmitted to our servers. We have no technical ability to see your product data.

Personal data — none collected proactively. We do not ask for your name, email address, or any personal information to use the free tier of the Service.

Pro license purchases. If you purchase a Pro subscription, payment is processed by our payment provider (Lemon Squeezy or Stripe, depending on checkout). We receive a license key and confirmation of payment status, but we do not store your full payment card details. The payment provider's own privacy policy governs data collected during checkout.

License key activation. When you activate a Pro license key, the key is stored in your browser's localStorage. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.

Standard server logs. Like any website, our web hosting provider automatically records standard access logs when your browser requests pages. These logs may include your IP address, browser user-agent string, referring URL, and the time and URL of the request. These logs are retained for up to 30 days for security and operational purposes only. We do not use them to identify individuals.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We do not use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, or any other tracking technologies. We do not use analytics services (such as Google Analytics) on ImportReady. We do not serve advertising and have no advertising partners.

4. How We Use Information

The minimal information described in Section 2 is used exclusively for:

• Delivering the Service (serving the application files to your browser);
• Verifying Pro license key validity;
• Protecting the Service against abuse and unauthorized access (via access logs);
• Communicating with you if you contact us directly.

We do not sell, rent, share, or otherwise disclose your information to third parties except as required by law.

5. Data Storage and Security

Because we do not collect personal data or file contents, there is no personal data stored on our servers to protect. Your CSV data exists only in your browser's memory during your session and is discarded when you close the tab.

License keys are stored in your browser's localStorage on your own device. You can clear them at any time through your browser settings.

Our website is served over HTTPS. Standard server log data is stored on servers provided by our hosting provider and is subject to their security controls.

6. Third-Party Services

The application loads the following third-party resources:

• Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) — used to serve the Inter typeface. Google may log your IP address when your browser requests the font files. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• PapaParse (cdn.jsdelivr.net) — a JavaScript CSV parsing library served via jsDelivr CDN. jsDelivr may log your IP address. See jsDelivr's Privacy Policy.

These resources are loaded by your browser directly. We do not share any personal data with these providers; standard HTTP logs are under their respective policies.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Right of access — you may request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification — you may ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Right to erasure — you may ask us to delete personal data where there is no compelling reason for continued processing.
• Right to object — you may object to certain types of processing.
• Right to lodge a complaint — you may contact your national data protection authority.

Because we do not collect personal data beyond minimal server logs, most of these rights have limited practical application to ImportReady. To exercise any right, contact us at hello@importready.app.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
